Always a chance
Many different spots to try if ya enter from the north end. Lots of broken reef on first section than a fair strecth of sand till about 7 km's down than more reef. Just cruise along beach and look for a likley spot burley up and shouldn't take long before ya get a few.
Can ya send report on what the beach is like, I should be back from O/S next week looking at heading down meself next weekend.
Old fishermen never die they just smell that way.

We tried a few spots the south end of White Hills last weekend but weed in the water was a problem. We moved a couple of ks south of Preston and it was clear. Live baits were wanted so we tried everything to raise Herring with no joy. Not one! Managed 4 Gummy Sharks and s few massive Rays also turned up. Easterlies should clear the weed.
