Where are all the squid?

Me and my brother went down to bicton a couple months ago to try our luck catching some fish, we noticed a couple kids catching a good amount of squid on the other side of the jetty. We went back the next week and ended up catching 8 decent sized squid on some cheap $2.50 jigs in roughly an hour but since then we havn't seen any around, we tried left bank and the north mole but no luck. Does anyone know where they have all gone?

i have been having
i have been having consistent sessions of about 4 squid per person with the odd cuttly in between squid, all landbased around the freo area. all you need is a breakwall and some broken ground and decent depth to the water.
If a jig isn't working, change colours constantly, and if still nothing is happening move on to another spot.
All have been caught on a Naory deep rangehunter or Aurie Q. Fish the calmer waters.

Yer mate get some better
Yer mate get some better quality jigs and you'll get some many more squid. You probly wont get any for a few days landbased while this storm comes through but by next week you should be able to get some nice ones again.
