mate it depends on what sort of fishing your using it for? there are specific braids designed for different types of fishing ie: jigging, casting, gt popping etc.
i like the Varivas braid personally but the new Daiwa Sensor Braid its really thin so you will fit alot more on your spool.
i dont think there is a best braid it just depends on personal choice
im no expert so best to ask the tackle shop boys!!
Get some PE6 saltiga boat braid of Jamie (Till). You wont find cheaper, and TBH, you probably wont find much better (i dont think even the premium varivas has a lot better on it and its 3-4 times the price)
And bloody hell cant tell the diff. Go midrange and for some reason I am stuck on FINNS. But dont know why, because I dont fish comps etc. If you are extreme fishing try Verivas, but I didnt like it. To $$$ and didnt feel right.
Whatever you do dont go cheap!!!!!
My Mandurah rods that I hardly use up here still have fireline on them and I havent used them in the 3 yrs up here, but thought I would have fun on a school of smallish GTs that buzzed us and had no problem with the old fireline either.
I run fins and PowerPro, fins is beutiful stuff imo, and powerpro is a little thinner but digs in a little, both good. You can't go worng with fins though

plenty out there, 80lb Daiwa Accudepth and 80lb Tufline are good, and YGK Jigman/Ultra Jigman is great. All depends on what you want to pay.
