Walpole bound

Heading to Walpole (Nornalup Inlet) in the next couple weeks.. Got the hardbodies, softies, whitebait, okky, squid tentacles and prawns at the ready... Oh yea, got the Mrs too........
I'm guessing the water is pretty clear this time of year.. Are there still any KG's around? Looked at 2 weather reports and both are so different.. Assume mid 20's days and mid teen nights? Little rain and as always the wind?
Appreciate any updates for 1st couple weeks of Feb........

I will be there this coming weekend.
My mate that lives there tells me there is still kgs in the nornalup. Salmon out near the mouth. some crabs around if you put the effort in. Plenty of whiting and herring.
The weather was looking sweet up until last night. Hopefully it calms off again and we can get out behind the islands for some arm stretching. If not it will be the inlet and up river for the smaller species and some breaming and marron.
I have a white duel cab hilux with a dog cage on the back and a yellow boat with white hard cab if you see us round say gday i will give you some more info then.
Other wise we will be the noisy bastards at the pub haha.

I'll be down there also in
I'll be down there also in February(3rd week) for the first time on the Ski. It may take me a week to tow the Ski down behind the Moke!!
Really looking forward to spending a few fishing hours out on the Inlet flats. The Ski should be perfect for the shallow area's,chasing bream and KG's .Been reading heaps on the search button here about what to expect down at Walpole.
Maybe if the weather is kind,I also maybe able to get out thru the river mouth.

Just Went
Hi mate,
just gone down on a house boat through the inlet. Nice clear water still a bit brown. Loads of stingray but there are still plenty of KG's still kicking. The trumpeter are horrible this year millions of them stealing and wasting the bait. But take a few crab nets down because there are some real monsters.
