see finally a phucking fish in the reports section. I managed to pick up a snook, but the pack said I could get sambos, Taylor, mackies, tuna and a few more. God knows if its true or not.

100lb is quite rough for
100lb is quite rough for mackies imo. They've got pretty keen sight so the less visible your setup the better. In Hedland I used 40lb fluoro leader swiveled to a 20cm 40lb single strand wire trace. Try and use the smallest swivels you can find in a 50-60lb class. I used arafura.
Lures are bang on, can't go wrong with the halcos. Try and get some of the crazy deeps as well. Is used to run 1 shallow diver in combination with 1 deep (6m) diver. Keep the deep one short behind the boat and the shallow one some 20m behind. This makes manoevring easier without tangling the lines. The deep lure may help tease up a fish from the deep. If it doesn't take it, it'll suddely notice the shallow lure passing which may help trigger a bite in sort of a reflex. You can vary speeds and distance from the lure to the boat. If you spot fish on the sounder or suface but don't hook up, try to put a lure way out the back. What big gamers call shot gun position.
Other great lures are the rapala magnum 20s-30s. Both the halco deeps and the rapalas do put a lot of stress on the line and rod if you troll at some speed. If you want deep and fast, the yo-zuri hydro magnums with narrow lip are bomb.
Good luck :)
