Tips on Grey Banded Cod

Hi everyone was looking at heading out on the weekend to chase some cod for the first time and looking for some tips any info that help would be much appreciated, looking going out from woody's point and heading SW from Garden Island. Just wondering what the best depth is and what to look for on the echo sounder anything would help cheers..

Greyband

That area we have got them from 180m and deeper but if were targetting just Greyband then we fish the 220-280m stuff.

These fish sometimes preferring the edges or the flat ground near drop offs. Not alot of ground needs to be present to get them also. Look for fish and thats blue dashes for us and you only need a few fish on the bottom of your sounder to warrant a drift.
