Bottom bouncing.

Hey guys fairly new to the boat fishing side of things-mainly fish shore based as only have access to a boat very limited times-when you talk bottom bouncing are you refering to jigging or bait/sp fishing ?. Probably a silly question but just wanted to get my head around it ?? cheers guys

chief most people refer to it as bait fishing either with a patemoster ring with a large sinker at the bottom or when using the same rig but with soft plastics

There is no specific rule
But Bottom bashing defaults to using bait. Jigging can refer to SP and jigs, but I suspect that when you say Jig it is meant to mean not SP. SP jigging or Jigging with Softies etc means that. But as mentioned no rules as you can BB with soft plastic, and even BB with jigs.
