Talica 16II ?

Hello all been lookin at the

shimano talica 16 2 speed

for using as live baiting reel for kingfish

i want to fish around PE6-9 80/120lb

fishing around structure

just wanting some info

on these reels how do you rate them ?

how many metres of what poundage of braid did you fit on your reel??

I mainly use it for bottom fishing & as a backup trolling outfit.

I managed to squeeze almost an entire 600 yard spool of 65 Jerry Brown braid on mine. You would probably fit close to 500 if you went 80.

The drag smoothness & power is fantastic.

I reckon the 16 is the perfect size. Plenty of line capacity & physically not too big & not too small.
