Some of us WA people stuck with our Victorian teams when the Eagles and later the Dockers were 'formed'...
Not all but some Eagles/Dockers supporters discarded their Victorian teams in about the same fashion as these jumpers are being...
Maybe something to think about? :)
Admittedly, others took up Footy as an interest when the WA teams were introduced.
I chose Hawthorn when I was a kid... based on what? I don't know, I can't remember - I was six or seven, but I'm still flying their colours...

I grew up a Hawthorn supporter, mainly because of the toughness and they were always getting into punch ups which I LOVED to watch!!!
But alas.... switched to Eagles to support my state....
I would actually be going for the 'dork'ers this weekend, due to their intensity and are actually playing worthwhile footy for once......... except the thing that stops me supporting them, is how Dockers supportors carry on and act!!!

Interesting that I've come across quite a few Eagles supporters who used to barrack for the Hawks before 1987.
Though you can't blame Dockers fans for getting vocal and excited in the situation, its a huge moment. Won't begrudge them a win if they do though, it would be well deserved.
