Sundaymorning bash.

Looking at heading out tomorrow morning. Will be first Perth fishing trip.

Would love to get into some inshore bluewater, but not too sure on which forecast to go by. Willyweather cottlesloe?

1.8m for sunday morning, is that realistic? Only have a 4.5 tinny!

Mate, youl have to get used

Fri, 2012-11-23 07:24

Mate, youl have to get used to perth, down here you have to actually chase the fish and find em, its not like up there where u can just sit there and theyl jump into your boat, and hook themselves ;). looks windy all wekend, but maybe in the sound somewhere sheltered, cottesloe might be okay, i normally go in bigerr boats so i wouldnt have a clue how a 4.5m would hold up.

Yeah, less fish, more

Fri, 2012-11-23 09:40

Haha, it's not that easy either, but quite close ;). Just such a difference mate, no getting in line at the ramp, plenty of fishing on offer, not too much other boats, ... different world!

Will be pretty much onslow based as from march again though.. can't wait! Ofshore accomodation vessel.. music to my ears. :)

Sunday Morning

Fri, 2012-11-23 07:37

Looks good at this stage Jelle, i follow willy as well but use garden island as my starting point because i launch from woodies point and will hold around the  islands on sunday. Just do another check before leaving as the south /southwesterly here makes life a bitch.

You should get most of the morning before it gets to choppy for the tinny, you'll need to find a little structure and use some burley.

 Good luck

Cheers Brock! Not to much of a bait user though, we'll be chasing some pelagics on fly and spin! Heard of some tuna around Rotto so hoping to get into those.

Good luck!

Cheers for the heads up.. Like I said, will be the first time out. In port hedland I had a pretty good idea what was fishable and what wasn't, based on the forecast. But haven't got a clue down here.

Hi Jelle, do they let you fish of the accom vessels? Just asking as we are going to be staying on the Mermaid Spirit next week for two weeks doing a shutdown on a drilling rig

Technically it's not allowed, not for us at least. The reality is sometimes different, so I'd pack some gear just in case the opportunity presents itself. :)

Sat, 2012-11-24 07:25

Hey Brock,

current plan is to do some trolling behind 3mile and if that doesn't work out, we'll probably resort to anchoring and burleying around the 10m mark..

Not sure what's feasible and what not..
