Hey all.
I was thinking about getting a combo for flicking light lure around for bream, flathead, whiting and thats sort of thing and was thinking about getting as stradic Ci4 2500 and getting a nice light rod.
I was just asking for peoples advice about the reel as ive heard good things but also bad things about the reel. How many people like this reel? Has anyone had any bad experiences with it?
Cheers

i have the 2500 size and i cant complain, for the money its the best reel out, nice and light and also very smooth, it can also handle a lot of punishment when put to the test. i use mine for bream, tailor and everything really, as for a rod..go for something around 6'6 or 7' and 2-4kg. something like a nitro will match up perfectly

Still had mine since feb,
Still had mine since feb, haven't thrashed it but have caught everything from bream to Tailor (45-50cm).
Still puts out smooth drag and cranks just as smooth as the day I bought it.
Worth $300 new? Debatable, Worth 200-250 2nd hand or online, wouldn't recommend anything else.
Although the die hard daiwa fans will tell you to get a SOL.

definatly better reels for
definatly better reels for the money . get a sol for that sorta money even a advantage or caldia would be better imo. granted i thrashed the hell out of one of mine but then again isnt that what reels are for . as nelly said save the extra for a luvias or just get a sol mate unfortunatly unless its a stella shimano have nothing on daiwa in the smaller size reels.
