2.5 generally, used a 3.25

2.5 generally, used a 3.25 today which worked pretty good and 2.0 in shallow water or very still water.

while pink is good, we get most squid on varied colours, i will change colour depending on the conditions (ie. water clarity, overcast, mornings)

The Yo zuri flash dancer, auri Q and the neos are doing the damage at the moment and they are all different colours. I dont think its so much the colour more actually finding where the squid are

I tend to use a more subtle action, and downsize the jig size. Where abouts are you squidding?

if you have access to a boat try over at garden island just down from the supply jetty in about 5 metres there are some rippers there I just put the rods in the holders and let the jigs do there thing and have been catching plenty of squid and cuttlefish
