Squid lure?
Submitted by SamC on Sat, 2012-06-23 09:52
I see a lot of peeps around catching squid. I am super keen to get in on the action and was wondering what those funky squid lures are that all you peeps are using!
They look kinda like some sort of prawn fish and have heaps of little hooks on the back.
If anyone could help me out to figure out what these things are that would be fab!
Cheers dudes :P

Hi SamYou should try those
Hi Sam
You should try those matsumoto jigs in that $3.95 price bracket, I know you can get cheaper but these quality jigs are superb and will last up to two squid!
Try letting the jig sink to the bottom but don't forget to tie your line on. I like to use a Uni-Knot which is a really reliable knot. I assume you are using monofilament line?
you can pick up Jarvis Walker bulk spool mono pretty cheap from K-Mart, if the missus lets you ;) your jarvis walker red devil 10' that you currently own should be ample.
Most of all, have fun!

one thing flangies failed to
one thing flangies failed to mention is if your finding your cast is not far enough just add bulk ball swivels on the line and use the biggest brass swivels available just incase you hook the big one
also dont forget the glow sticks incase your fishing night times
