Hey. im just wondering can anyone suggest some good land based spots around freo area that i could hook onto some squid? Ive heard south mole is good also the rocks at south beach? Also is there anything else squidding requires other than i jig?

Thanks for the tip mate, is it better to try at night or day, or does it matter? Are tides and winds a factor? I havent really done any squidding before but am keen to get some, theyre great eating!

just go on google maps mate and have a look around freo along south mole, freo yacht club groynes just looks for weed beds and if you can get a weed bed near some artificial light your in with half a chance. also i would recommend using lighter jigs because most of the spots there are shallow and also a small size jig. you will find bigger ones spook alot of the squid there or they just arent interested also try go for pink as ive found that works the best.
But there are some pretty good squidders on this forum just use the search function an you should find some helpful info
