anyone no were to get good sized squid or cuttle fish on land in perth region?

Most marina's and rock groins in the sea or the lower reaches of the Swan. Look for weed beds.

No mate. I think you'll find that most of them swim in the ocean. I don't know of many land squid.

Went out today to all my usuals but the water is horrid after all the rain and swell. I was in 1.5 meters and still couldnt' see sand or weed. Only got two and headed in.... YUK!
