Fishing tomorrow, Friday the 5th.

Anyone else considering thinking of taking their boat out tomorrow or is it going to be a waste of time? Seabreeze isn't the best but it certainly isn't the worst. Thinking of sticking close, within a couple of K's to the West side of Garden Island.

Playing golf on Sunday. Only
Playing golf on Sunday. Only thinking of tomorrow as the swell is slightly less than Sunday but might have to pull a shonky and go for a fish instead. Golf brings out the Hulk from within and it takes great restraint not to throw the clubs into the drink. At one stage I was replacing the driver shaft every time it came back from repair due to a bad temper. Could've bought some good fishing gear instead.
Does murky water put fish off or it doesn't matter, if they're hungry, they'll eat?

Sunday definately looks
Sunday definately looks better but tomorrow would be worth going to the sound the snapper will be very active after the last weeks weather I reckon they will be everywhere if weather permits the back of the five would be loaded too as the wind and swell would of pushed them all in close IMO good luck

I was going to where I've had
I was going to where I've had some luck with the Dhuies only because I haven't caught anything in the sound yet. I've done some searching in the sound a couple of months ago and found some lumps which are close to the main land not far from Woodies in 5-7 metres of water holding baby snapper up to 10-15cm long. Should I try there or just go ocean side? Someone at work suggusted I try the gravel patch some time which is in the middle some where but I suppose I'll just have to sound around.

So was the sound calm enough
So was the sound calm enough or was it horrible as well. Was it fishable on the west side of GI or don't even worry about it, fish in the sound? Catch anything?

the sound was sloppy as this morning, ive never seen it that dirty, couldnt even see the bottom in 1.5m. Where ive usually been sounding out 5-10 solid schools of bait i only found one this morning. No snappers either

i was given the hot tip to
i was given the hot tip to sound the drop offs and around the flat areas near structure. The one i caught a month ago was on flat sand in 10m about 30m away from structure, there were heaps of bait schools around then though..

Stick in close around rock
Stick in close around rock walls and jetties will be where the bait is held up cause of the north westerlies we've had where u find the floating weed is where everything has been pushed if that helps
