Ive never been in one but....
A mate of mine tested a brand newie out about 6 months ago, complained it rolled around like nothing else, said it didnt seem very stable at all. They are at a good price though ,see them come up on boats online fairly regualrely.
Definately give it a test run in a bit of rough stuff and stop and see how it handles drifting in the chop also before you part with your hard earned mate.

Won't any of the bananna
Won't any of the bananna boats roll around a bit? Pretty much can't be helped with a narrow hull without going to the effort of sponsoons or the flooded keel etc.

UB19
We had a UB19 (19 footer) with a 70 on the back for quite a few years.
I thought it was a great boat - as per usual with Centre Consoles, a little wet at time and a bimini cover was a must to keep the sun off
The low gunwhales are accentuated by the high bow - which is a big part of the overall design of the boat to push seas aside.. Never had any problems with water slopping over the side at the back.
Can't say I ever felt that it was overly unstable....
I think you just have to look at how many of them are getting around as a recommendation for the hull....
Ours was an absolute bargain - it was 15K boat that went everywhere the new 75K boat goes.....
Cheers,
Pete

Mick
I have a UB22 /6.70m with a 100 yammy on the back its my second one i have had
they are a great boat if you like the versatility of going to the shallow creeks we have up here one day and the next day cruising to the Monties, they are great for fishing out of, casting poppers from the front deck to casting the throw net in the shallows. yes you do get a bit wet sometimes but thats fishing .to me they are a stable boat ,it has to be with one of my mates you dont even feel him going from one side to the other
. and thats stable.
Cheers
