Experts...
My internet is crap here at work and i'm time poor to do my own research so i'm after help with a good sounder/gps combo....
Its for the inlaws boat which a new 628 furuno is going to be the main sounder but of course the combo will be used in sounder mode at times also....
Ideas between a grand and 2k please?
Cheers in advance....

Garmin
Garmin echomap plus 95sv. Around $1500 and includes transducer and Australia wide maps. Gives you side and down view that the 628 doesn't do and you can use the built in quickdraw mapping to map your favourite spots in 1ft detail.
The new plus model is a good step forward for the echomap range with Garmin networking enabled and WiFi for software updates.

Boon, I'm running my Furuno
Boon, I'm running my Furuno 627 with a HDS7 Gen III linked by a Markfish. Very happy with the setup as a dedicated sounder/plotter setup especially with the Markfish but haven't installed a transducer for the Lowrance.

Furuno
I would be looking at the new Furuno GP1871 or 1971 units.
Should talk to the 628 as well with the right connections (need to check)
These are like a scaled down TZ unit and should be great for trailer boats

June
Most likely in June. With a couple of big boat shows coming up on the East Coast it is normally the time for new releases
They are looking like a great option. And finally a good and affordable Furuno combo option

Im thinking a pair of them might go nice in my new build.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
