something like a nitro viper

something like a nitro viper matched to a sol 3000 would suit you needs, nice and light but plenty of power in the butt of the rod, that would run 30lb no worrys.

Question is what size reel you gonna run on it??

Some rods are designed to take smaller reels than others.

Here's a couple we recommend highly....

HR Sylphy 6'5"  PE2 (20-30lb)

Pflueger Patriach XTR 7' 14-25lb

look im no expert on flash

look im no expert on flash rods as my apprentice wage wouldn't support it, but i have a raider 2 snapper 6 to 10kg that i use for sp's and i love it. I have caught fish ranging from under size trout to 2m sharks. check out bruces latest post for a photo of it loaded up. plus it only cost about $140 so with the extra you could stock up on your sp's.
