I went in to bcf today looking for a rod for my Stella 8000sw and came across the Shimano starlo stix due jigg 15kg rod.
It looked quite strong and a perfic match for my stella.
Anyone heard much about them???? please let me know
Cheers Jesse

There ok
if you want a cheap rod. Not even remotely good enough to put a Stella on.

Would you put retreads on a brand new Lambo or Ferrari? Hell no! So why would you put a shitty cheap rod on one of the best spinning reels ever built? Go match it up to a top end Daiwa/Shimano/Smith/Jigging Master or a custom or anything that has SiC guides and other quality components and a blank that has a lovely action and can take some punishment.

Just had the same problem(not) for my first Stella
And went the SW 8T SW aswell. Matched with a Samurai Jig10. Now you are talking Putting rubber on a Lambo. This is just an awesome rod, not cheap but then as mentioned above why a ferrari engine with no tyres.
First blooding was a mackie, only 10kg, but I didnt realize and with Mr taxman around poor thing got skull dragged in without even an effort. believe me when this very green mack was boat side, I looked at the combo in awe.

I have one with a spheros
I have one with a spheros 14000 50lb braid on it. For the price i like it. Wouldnt put a stella on one tho unless you plan on replacing it with something at a later date when you can afford it.

Catching a small kingfish on it. You can see a bit of how it loads up...
