Sharks bay in October

Hi all just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of feed back on there experiences. I am thinking about a trip to Sharks bay around the start of October for a bit of land based but mostly boat fishing, I am going for 1 week. Has anyone been up there about this time of year and is it a good time of year or is it going to be too hit and miss for only a 1 week stay. I have been in April before and been told that is about the best time of year but april is too far away and I need a trip. I am from Bunbury so any other ideas within about that same distance are also welcome
Cheers in advance

Shark Bay
If you want to get an idea of temp and wind conditions at that time of year, have a play with BOM climate averages here http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_006044.shtml

You could be lucky
We generally go up for the long weekend at the end of September, and it is *usually* Ok, but you are getting into the south-south easterly time of year. That said, we haven't had our three day trip blown out yet, just might get one day of wind and most mornings are good. Although we had a gale force westerly change go through last year, winds predicted locally to 100km/hr, rain, we just tied down and sat it out.

At that time of year it is
At that time of year it is a little hit and miss as far as the weather, best part about shark bay is that if Denham is getting hit with south easterlies you can go across to Monkey Mia and find some shelter. I personally prefer fishing Monkey Mia and have caught plenty of good fish within sight of Monkey Mia. Hope you have a great trip.

That time of year you'll find the water is much warmer out towards Steep than it is in the bay.
