1) chase the big rays (not as many around I reckon but the big boys are still there...)
2) Chase some sharks around the salmon schools
3) Hopefully an exmouth trip
4) ive ordered a lighter overhead rod so gonna try sliding some live herring etc for snapper and mulloway. Got a couple of land based spots in mind that I reckon might have been overlooked as potential snapper spots.
Got my whole winter planned already lol

Guy's i check'd out ya other threads about sinkers. I have those mould's in 4oz to 8oz.
Be happy to meet up and have a sinker making day. Have a factory and oxy gear to do the job.
Just need some more lead and we could make enough for a year. (each)

Sounds great grantarctic - I have not seen proper sliding sinkers here yet. Should be a great idea to have some made up. Will bring sample with as the length of the wire of the sinker is important.

OK - with my gear that just arrived - I am in.
Couple of Question - I would like to slide some Bonito baits. Where can I buy qty's of 6 - 8 bonito's?? Would appreciate your feedback.
Some of my best size bronzies and rays were caught with sliding bonito ( 2kg - 3kg full size bonito) heads or tail sections.
Would you require a 4 x 4 vehicle to get there? (No 4 x 4 vehicle as yet.)
Could someone send me a Google Earth to pinpoint the spot?
Thank you!
(For those that require some slides and 9 oz sinkers - I have a couple spare - let me know. I also have a couple of 150lb sliding rigs spare - about 70cm.)

Mold's are lost
Sorry guy's , cant find my sinker mold's, moved house recently and lost track of them.
No problem i have order'd a new set. (needed to update them anyway)
Will take a few week's to arive as they come from the U.K.
I figure if i make 40 sinkers it will pay for the mold's.
Sizes are 100g, 125, 150g, 175g. These are CNC cut so no seem's to clean up.

order molds
The mold's come from ukhooks.co.uk.
Its a bit hard to order because of money conversion and the time difference.
Hopefully i get a comfirmation of the order in the morning.(had to do by e-mail)
My last mold's were cast alloy and not very good, But these are CNC cut from high grade alloy.(look very good quality)
They also have the S/S wire pre cut and loops pre made. Not cheep tho for mold's.
Sick of paying 10 bucks a sinker when i can make them my self.(no offence to tackle shops who support this site)

Wire stick
brenz, you use a slightly larger wire in the mold when you pour the lead, then remove it.
The grapnel wire has to be bent into place after you remove the sinker.
Some guy's leave the wire straight till they use the sinker, so you can pack into your tackle box easier.

ok i am getting sick of this
ok i am getting sick of this god dam bronzie up here caught him 3 times now at the spot and club cap, first time got spooled, next time he bit through a 90lb steel trace and tonight i tried sliding for him and a knot slipped.... im fairly sure its the same shark or there is 3 about 8ft up here and it always feeds at the same time just as the sun hits the horizon and he has eaten a whole herring every time. oh and there is also weed at club cap tonight but that should be cleared fairly soon im hoping. think i need some bigger gear hahaha

hahaha im realising that now
hahaha im realising that now but i thought a 6500 baitrunner and 600m of 50lb braid with a good rod would be albe to stop most things and ive caught some huge stuff on that outfit before but im struggling with the sharks, next night we get an easterly im going down there with a baloon and my boat rod with 800m of 100lb line hahaha nothing has won against that yet....
always looking for a new challenge!!

The blue macks from the baitshops work if bait gathering doesn't work out, score them to let out a bit of scent and bang them on whole. Ghost cotton will help with the pickers...a little!

I normaly use a burley cage rig with or without a float, small baits(prawn or squid) or attach a bait chaser to cage.
This will get you whatever is on top cuthbad. On the bottom there is whiting and skippy as well..
