Sambo Jigging Jigs
Submitted by ADDICT- dUFFMAN on Thu, 2010-10-28 18:13
Having never been sambo jigging before im heading out soon after winning a competition aboard Mills Charters
Just a few questions:
1) What brand and size jigs do Mills or other companies use?
2) How much do the charter companies charge for replacement?
3) is it worth buying your own jigs and bringing them along?
4) what jigs (brand and weight) are affordable but reliable on sambos that come with pre-tied assist hooks?
Cheers in advance for ya replies

Sambo Jigging
The JF Lab jigs in the 270g to 470g come pre-rigged and work well on sambo's.
Jigging Master Allien & Rocket jigs in the 200g to 500g work well (assist hook is to be added)
Above jigs are approx $24 - $32
Gladiator Headbanger jigs in the 330g to 420g are good for cheapies, approx $15 (no assist hook)
FW discounts apply.

My 2 cents
1) Cheaper jigs like; daiwa grande, river2sea searocks & knife jigs.
Last year, during the peak of the season they appeared to hit anything, so cheaper jigs are fine.
2) $15-20
3) I've you're just trying it out I'd use their jigs and just pay for what you lose.
4) Alot of the jigs I've seen lately don't tend to come with assists. They aren't hard to make (it's been covered in the forums before).
