ROD TO SUIT AVET SX 2SPD
Submitted by Septimus on Sun, 2011-08-14 22:07
Can anyone recommend a nice rod to suit an AVET SX 2 speed overhead reel that's loaded up with ~40lbs braid?
Looking to use it bottom bouncing for dhuies, etc. in 40~60m and would prefer a quality, lighter rod with a "parabolic" action under load, rather than a "broomstick" - any suggestions by the knowledgable members on this site would be welcome?

Look at the Ripplefishers if
Look at the Ripplefishers if you have that sort of coin to spend - Perhaps a Jig 5825 or Jig 575 if you wanted a bit heavier (prob a bit too heavy though).
The Yamaga Galahads look nice also, and are cheaper.
If you are just using it for bait though, seems a bit of a waste.
You can look at the range of Ripples here

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
