+1, pricey for delivery
+1, pricey for delivery though ($100), so make sure u get about 3-4 blanks. aside from that much cheaper than here in aus, and a humoungus range.
If you want to support an aussie, either motackle, therodworks, bluewater (small range), compleat angler i think?(specialise in the samurai stuff from memory).

campbells
campbells pro tackle are not bad a little pricey for what you get but again we get that in wa. the boys down there can sort you out with all the stuff you need to build rods. from cheap to top of the line.

try
www.anglersworkshop.com/ Chat with dave lyons. He's excellent. All very cheap. of course no returns so make sure you know what you want. Pick and buy your blank over here.

Rodworks
Mate I get all my stuff through either mudhole or rodworks. Mudhole can be a bit costly for rod postage but as said if you buy a few you will make it worth it. You can also go in with someone who is ordering and split the costs, works well for a mate and I. Rodworks is an Aussie site so freight is a lot cheaper but blanks a bit more costly. Only issue with buying blanks online is getting the feel of the blank and also selecting the exact blank. But the even with the postage the cost benefit is there. Would love to look after local shops but when a $90 blank costs $190 in my local tackle store I am left with little choice.

mudhole ++
Built two rods from mudhole... (gloomis sr-842-2 IMX and calstar 700h) both must have cost less than half of what they would to buy. delivery was excellent.

Hey spook check out this
Hey spook check out this link. I made this recently with just about everthing from Mudhole. Had the blank already but would need to buy a few blanks to warrant the postage costs if I were to do that. Normal postage is a little dear too even without blanks so I get a fair bit of stuff to make it worthwhile.

blanks
Hi,
I live down in BUSSELTON and there is a guy here who makes up 'good' rods from blanks that all appear to be quality products, as I understand they are usually carbon fibre
Have not got one myself but went round and met him and looked at his products in his well setup workshop
A close friend has one of his rods that he uses on the Busso jetty and he loves it
I get the idea that making up a rod from a blank is a nice 'project' but from what I was able to ascertain it is not a simple thing to do.
