Reel servicing
hi everyone, I have been fixing up a few reels lately for my mates for practice, hopefully getting a few bucks towards a car. I have a few like my Sedona that have fallen into the drink a couple times and an old reel that has lots of sand through it which needed to be fixed. I have done these reels and even though they don't come out 100% new they come out nice and smooth and are much nicer to use. Even if the reel doesn't have anything wrong with it, I still grease up the drag and oil the bearings etc. I now fix the drag systems and if need be will replace some washers. I also take the reels apart and clean all the bits of unwanted salt water out of the reel and get all of the sand out, so that there is no grinding when winding the reel.
I currently am capable of only egg-beater style reels. I can fix most fin-nor, shimano, daiwa and tomman reels, and they have all come out much better.
if anybody wants their reel to be serviced I need a bit of pocket money so I could charge $15 + additional costs for parts.
if anybody would like me to service I live south of the river so just pm me if u r interested.
thanks,
lachie

Good on ya for having a go.
Good on ya for having a go. Bearings are what you need to look at. There is a place in navel base that can get most of what you need. Will get you the details
