Would you think it unusual to purchase a new boat package eg boat and trailer and for the trailer not to be fitted with a spare wheel bracket and spare tyre and rim have only just noticed that with the surtees 6.7 gamefisher

Lots of packages list the spare as an extra.

Extra
Yep is an extra pretty much every where you go unless they cost it in and then they will make sure to tell you they have added it into the cost.

Not such a bad thing
Get yourself a stub/spare setup anyway, maybe even two for a dually.

going to speak with the
going to speak with the dealer as he may look after us cost wise otherwise go dirct to dunbier as the holder is not expensive where as the tyre and rim are I would have expected it to be like when you buy a care I dont think they class the spare as a extra. they have to supply safety gear eg life jackets flares wouldnt a pare wheel be classed as safety gear for the trailer?
Thanks for the above comments

It should be part of the
It should be part of the package but you have the bargaining power when ordering not later unfortunately.
Comparing it to safety gear-afaik there is no law to say a boat has to be sold with safety gear.
the spare is generally an option to meet a pricepoint unless you bargain it in.

It's an extra cost. I worked for a wakeboard boat business for nigh on 5 years and the boats cost from 70 grand up to 165 grand and the spare was always an extra which unfortunately most customers didn't realise until delivery. The look on their face said it all. However at and sometimes after delivery some customers were clever enough to squeeze the boss's balls and voila!, they received a spare for no extra cost. . . . Its worth a try Nathan.

Another one they do is only supply an inshore flare kit as part of the safety package.

Maybe have a look at the ad photos and see if its on there, or the display boat you looked at?

best bet is contact surtees,
best bet is contact surtees, ask nicely, refer to other buyers and their reputation in WA etc
my dealings with them led me to believe they are extremely professional
safety gear is mandatory to sell with a boat overeast- not here
