PR KNot
Does anyone use these for spinning reels for casting? I have been using the slim beauty which holds really well, but have just learnt the PR Knot and am thinking of changing over the leaders on my spinning reels.
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

Hey Cam
I have not used either the PR or the slim beauty but SamC from bluewater in Scarborough taught me the FG knot for attaching leader to braid easy to learn YouTube vid of the sebile knot shows the way Sam showed me which worked really well. Casted through the guides no problems and held firm.
Just my 2 cents worth, cheers.

PR Knot all the way for
PR Knot all the way for me breazes through the guides while using poppers and stickbaits in the 120 - 200gms for GT's.
Easy to tie once you get the nack personnel preferance.

being a bit dislexic i found
being a bit dislexic i found the fg and pr by hand a bit all over the place but with the pr knotter you get a very short and tight weave. around 20mm long and when you finnish off do one half hitch rap line around something and pull tight. do another alternate half hitch and then finish of with a rissuto knot. The whole concept of friction knots is quite amazing.

Ive never tried either, i just stick with a bimini twist and an improved albright, never popped for GT`s, does anyone know if this will be strong enough, i have caught decent fish with this knot, but not massive GT`s

I used to do PR until SamC
I used to do PR until SamC showed me the FG in Fiji.....FG easier, more releable and smaller through the guides....PR a very strong knot if done correctly though.

PR or FG
Either PR or FG is the way to go.
You will end up with either of them at the end of the day. After you've master the way of tying them.
I use both for popping and jigging.
