Peaceful Bay Info
Hi,
I am heading down to Peaceful Bay at the end of September for a few days and was chasing a bit of info. I've already done a search and read a lot of good stuff but was chasing a few more specifics. Have a Prado and I will be dragging down a 4.2m tinnie with a 40hp on it (will only go ocean bound if the weather is at a decent standard). Most of the info i found was in the deep or salmon related (not sure if they are around at this time).
- What is likely to be in the nearby inlet? Have heard KG's, flatties etc.
- Is there a ramp or is it a beach launch for the inlet? Is there easy access?
- What sort of depth are you loking at in the inlet?
- Is it still beach launch for the ocean?
- Anything worth chasing from land assuming weather doesn't cooperate?
Cheers in advance.

Its cold their very cold their now. I only did land base fishing for salmon looks like beach launch for boats with a tricky ride out if it's big swells tho. Water very clean couple of day's ago I saw the od fish in the surf but then it was only me standing on a stretch of beach with a rod for over a km either way got small fish one lost salmon that was it. Enjoy

Inlet
Fished this area my whole life it's beach launch both into the ocean and inlet beach is usually quite hard and easy to launch if the weather is up you can always fish the inlet if you launch at the mouth and head down stream can be quite shallow but there is a channel on the left side once down into the open flats it is full off kg whiting and flat head All the best hope this helps.I

Was there in February and
Was there in February and managed to get a feed of KG each morning, just fishing the sand holes on the point directly off the road. , saw some young kids catching squid also in the same area.
if you want some heavy land based rock head to kingy rock (if the swell allows), some fun fish around this area.
