Go the stone
There is a wicked stone topped outdoor kitchen that i saw up in Kunnanara. Really would set yours off i recon.
Tip: have some good flat stones, preferably big ones, set to each side of the BBQ so when you put down your stubby it dosent tip over.
Ohh and top job done so far..lol

good work mate- I did
good work mate- I did something very simmilar in the last house, I just went with a regular laminated bench top from bunnings which was fine as it loked good and didn't get wet. I later did the laundry and I managed to find a place on Gumtree that did granite bench top off cuts and they were amazingly cheap, all cut to my sizes and polished bullnose edges. the guys even cut out the hole for the sink for free... I will try and find out who they were as it was a few years ago now but hopefully the mrs may know....

Top job
Would go the stainless my self for ease of cleaning an the outdoor element thing but hay stone would be good also anything timber will give you grief in the long run be it maintenance or the elements can't wait to see it finished .

looking good!
If you want to use stone or tiles, see if you can find some heavy cement sheet for the base........16mm or thicker
Otherwise you could form it up and pour concrete tops?
Good luck.

Need a good sealant
As concrete and stone is fairly porous it would likely absorb anything spilt on it so all the little fat spit bits that come off the BBQ would probably soak into the stone a bit and stain. Stainless steel would be much easier to keep clean.
Stone would look nice though

A bit hard to get past that
A bit hard to get past that steak on the grill, but I would go a good thick cement sheet base & a stainless steel top.
It will match the fridge & look modern like the front stone.
I have large black porcelain tiles on mine with a sheet of stainless steel on one section for making pizzas & food prep.
Looks great so far with the BBQ & fridge. You got all the right components.
But can we get back to that steak.... Haha
Good job.
Cheers & Stay safe

hebble
I used hebble for the base for my pizza oven, then we headed off to bunnings and picked up a few sheets of those mosiac stones , tile adhesive and some concrete sealer and presto sealed stone bench t.

light weight
light weight concrete type panel. You can cut to shape with a hand saw but has same or similar strenght to concreet but a fraction of the weight. From memory 75mm thick?? I looked at pouring a concrete top but as a cubic metre of concrete weights @2.4T it was heavier than I wanted. I cheated and had supplier cut to approx size and trimmed to fit

Form up a 40mm thick top
Form up a 40mm thick top with form ply then mix up some concrete with different coloured pepples in it then rub/hone it back once its dry and seal it. Could probs even drop the stones in a shape/pattern.

Stainless Tops
I put a new outdoor kitchen in my place 18 months back with a stainless top and its a pain in the arse to keep clean, also always worry about scratching it. Hope this helps.

Do the Bunnings 900 deep benchtops for now, and source..
..a better surface during winter - I used the formed top on mine, with this plan, still have it on, 5 years later, as I havent seen anything easier and less maitenance - be sure to seal all edges with waterpfoof silicione sealent before installing, as water will stuff up the top if it gets into the wood. easy to work with and cuts with a jigsaw, and they will cut it to size.. cheap and looks great, cleans easily, easy to install and change..
Their special orders desk will make you doors to suit the gaps too if you want to close in the gas bottle storage areas...
Looks great so far - well done mate - that steak looks great too..
