Opinions on small spinning reels

Soon will be getting a new reel but first wanted to hear some opinions from others. I was looking at either a 2000 Daiwa or 2500 Shimano around $200. Will be matched on a 7', 2-4kg stick and used for throwing small lures on 8lb. Reasons to buy or not to buy would be helpfull too
Thanx

up you budget a bit if you can
and get a SOL 2500.
phenomenal little reel. I'd buy one if I could justify having yet another "bream" sized reel to complement the other 4 I have.
But Exmouth trip may be the tipping point...

i have got a diawa sol 2000 which is the dogs bollocks,
but if your budget is less then i also have the penn affinity 1000 which is a great reel for the price. i used a 4000 up in exmouth and it handled the job well.

I have a sol 2000 and its a great little reel. Smooth as butter and nice and light. Washable design and waterproof drag (that doesnt mean you can dunk it of course). I had a look at the stradic/sustain but they didnt feel right to me, so its good to have a play with a few. The tierra should be a bit cheaper, but still nice. IMO, the 2000 is a good size (I fitted over 250m of 8lb on mine)

Tierra vs Sol
The Sol's seem to be highly recommended by many..
Just how much better are the Sol's compared to the Tierra's??
I know i've heard of some small problems with the Tierra's but none with Sol's..

Sols are a bit lighter, but
Sols are a bit lighter, but there isn't much between the 2.
Sols have 1 less bearing, but they are better quality than the tierras.
