Cheers Wally.

Definitely worth reading those Fisheries publications though for anyone who is interested in filleting at sea, as there are certain conditions that have to be met.

I started doing it up here after the town rubbish truck broke down and my fish frames came back to life again in the 40 degree heat. Not pleasant for me or the neighbours!

I think the rules are different up north mate. Wally wouldn't post a public apology if it was not the case.

read carefully

Tue, 2008-10-21 17:18

http://www.fish.wa.gov.au/docs/pub/NorthLimits/NorthernCoastRules_2008.pdf

only "special risk species" : Barra, Malabar Cod and Estuary Cod need to be landed whole and may not be filleted or trunked at sea.
see page 16 of rules and page 10 " ‘Special Risk’ species must always be landed whole. These
are shown in the ‘Bag and Size Limits’ section."

for that region.

I think the rules are

Wed, 2008-10-22 13:46

I think the rules are different up north mate. Wally wouldn't post a public apology if it was not the case.

3 Lions took a punt to tell ya the truth, I know john is fishing out of the pilbara, See i thought the laws were no filleting at sea, but if John had of stayed at one of the shacks he was allowed, i was wrong either wayLaughing,

Good to see a bloke who will admit when they are wrong.

Those who know me know this is what i do. and will buy John a beer or two

i was wrong its that simple. Plus someone has to keep commercail bashing to minimum on this siteLaughing

Wally

oh and the release weight thread, Know the whole story and you may get fired up like i did.
