Thanks for the offer Stu. But havnt had the boat out for around 2 months. So heading out with wifey and a mate from work. Hopefully a few squid near hillarys to start off with, then down to scarbs for some whiting.
Went over to Koks Island yesterday--see report, ended up with 5 pinkies[no closure up here],busted up by sharks and a heap of undersized spanglies.Weather was magnificent[thats a bigg word for this late on a Saturday evening]
i went down to my mulloway spot swell was pumping over the weed bank got one soapie no sign of tailor might be a bit stirred up for them. taking the dinghy out tomorrow around some reef edges throw some poppers for tailor mmmm fresh tailor
1 monster skippy, 16 thumper whiting, 48cm flounder and got to eyeball a 1.5 shark and the weather was beauty this arvo. Took don't work for a ride and when he sends the pics I'll post. Flounder was great on the BBQ! By the way fisheries nabbed a guy for demersal at Pt Peron and the guy was bitching becuase he was in Parliment.....what an arse...bet he even voted for the ban. Good luck everyone for tomorrow. Beware that the good weather has brought out the dumbarses......waited at the ramp for 30 min because a bloke in a ute was trying to pull at a 20k boat in 4wd without locking in his hubs ...should have videoed it....don't think he has any tread left on back tyres and for sure clutch ius shot. Good luck tomorrow all and keep you eyes open for illegal fishos & dob them in. Cheers, Ben
coulnd't complain. We used the drift rig setup you taught me for snapper but with smaller hooks. Looks like bait presentation results in bigger whiting also. If you let me borrow a jigging rod, I'm ready to take you out wide for some lessons on catching some bib sambos bradda. You know it's been awhile since we saw you post up any pics :) check out the size of that flounder on today's post.
we went out from riverton boat ramp yesterday morning to the aqaunis ski area, heaps of people out even with the wind. Was ok that side of mt henry's the other side was shit! The boat ramp at deepwater point looks like its being rebuilt, so it was even busier than normal.
Had a few good runs skurfing and wakeboarding, then across to matilda bay tearooms for lunch. Good day had by all.
Probably going to head out for a fish tonight. Weather looks good.
took the dinghy out throw some lures in the shallows for some snook got about a dozen then worked the back of the lives for a few tailor got one just under go afternoon out really
troll along the wall that starts at mangles bay and is the main crossing to garden island, preferably the sound side, always get some trolling small twisties when going for herring
I hunted all weekend in Mandurah for a mulloway.
I had one run at white hills but it dropped the bait.
Apart from that caught nothing. Anyone fish this weekend down mandurah way?
