Hi All
Im going to launch my tinnie from Ocean Reef on Sunday. Any tips for fishing in close (<1.5km).
I dont get out often and just want to make a day out on the water worth while. If anyone can give me any tips in terms of locations/techniques to assist me with a few whiting, skippy, hearing or better, it would be much appreciated.
Happy Easter

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Apreciate the feedback. Hopefully I cant find some cray pots inside of 1.5-2km out. Looking at my Nav Chart, seems I'd have to go about 3 km to find pots!
Was hoping to have a shot at whiting/flathead also, are they around this time of year?
Any advise on baits/techniques for these fish or is it not worth waisting time on?
Cheers

Whiting around on the sand anywhere, including 500m out.
Inside of burns rocks is good for windier days, tomorrow looks good though.
three mile much better, anchor is the go and burley up.
