You are in Shelley/Rossmoyne? You said your nearest ramp is 5 mins away? If you are talking about the Shelley Bridge ramp, your boat is to tall to go under the bridge(to head downstream to your house) and the river probably too shallow there. If you are talking deep water point in applecross probably give that one a miss over the weekend as with the skiers it is hectic.
I would try somewhere like Point Walter where you might have half a chance of getting it into the water without a rush/wake/damage/panic. Just cause it is a larger boat, wouldnt want anything to go wrong on a shakedown run.
Shelley/Riverton boat ramp is way to shallow like you said
Deepwater Point (i call it Mt Pleasant) is probably the same distance away and usually if you pick the right times you would be ok. Every weekend i go in with my dinghy and 9-10 is hectic, anything after is good until about 12 then it is mostly quiet, and most days any time before 9 is ok
East fremantle would be safer, but its $12 for parking. It says boats under 7m allowed- is that because its too shallow? Our boat would have a 50cm draw with the motor up...
Got a new GPS Sounder combo Lowrance/Eagle 90mm screen with full map of Australian waters or something. Just need to put the transducer on in the morning and silicon the holes up then off to the river for a test!

question
hey guys just about to buy a trophy 2002, year 2000
it has a ezy loader i think (american trailer), its a drive on trailer, dual axle
it says aggregate trailer mass 2000kg, does that mean it can only tow 2t?
its got the 175 optimax on the back
