my new jig rod arrived today, now for that wind to bugger off so I can get a decent sambo to bend it!
PE6-10, 600g jigs - its a bit of a brute stick.

hahahahahahahaha
thats not even all of them! I'm just finishing off painting the back room and I'm gonna set up a new office for my computer etc, rod and reel storage and fly tying desk.
And as for value, a fair bit more than $10k. Its scary when you add it up.

:O
You should be named rod fanatic from now on mate. Btw do you know what rod+reel I should get to fish of rocks. I'm looking for something that can cast far and on a budget, and flexible so I can feel the fish fight. Coz the 12ft surf rod I bought 2 weeks ago is a pain in the ass using at North Mole... Stiff for the 1st half, can't get the full casting abilities of it from the rocks. Fell twice yesterday using it at North mole..haha

ah.....
very kind, but there are numerous people on here with far more rods and reels than I......I'd rate my stable as above average.
As for your rod, start a new thread so you'll get more peoples input, but I reckon something around 8 or 9 foot off the rocks is ample - you dont need the extra length to get the height to cast over waves. Recommendations will depend on the budget constraints.
