New bag limits

Just been reading up on the new bag limits and it doesn't mention anything about extended trips.....estaminet overnight on islands for example......the way I read is you can have 2 days limits for an overnight stay......given that it explains a bag limit as the amount of fish you can take in a 24 hour period.....
anyone else read it this way or differently??
