I wouldn't go top of the line since you're landbased. For budget 8 strand J Braid is hard to go past, good price and I've never had a midline failure in it like I have with Varivas

j braid is a bit thick the best braid i have found for landbased fishing is tasline pe 3 breaks at 50lb and is good priced www.bustedfishing.com/#!/Tasline-Elite-White/c/18837037/offset=0&sort=normal you can fit 300m of pe 3 on a daiwa 4000 sized reel its extremely thin and is a very good braid highly reccomend it
wont catch em sitting at home!

Jerry brown should be thrown
Jerry brown should be thrown in the list too.. But seriously, everyone will give you different answers as noone has used every brand/type of braid. Just stick to what you've been happy with as for every recommend line there is someone that hates it.
