Mindarie Sambo

Went down to mindarie marina about 2 hours ago, walked around the boat (resturant) and up came a big sambo. would have been at least 15kgs. sadly i didnt have my fishing rod with me at the time so i couldnt see if it was on the bite. probs would have spooled my 2500 reel :P

Theres alway plenty in there, they come out of no where really, some time ago a mate of mine mucked around and put a whole bait on and locked up his drag, sambo came along = snapped rod...

would you say big yellow eye mullet as the live bait for the hand line :P would i put it under a float or balloon or just let it free swim... where would i stick the hook to maximise hook up: nose, back or tail???

I have caught a few landbased on 30lb before that size no problems. Anything up from bream gear and your in with a chance
