Mindarie at night!

Went for a fish last night from around 3pm till 10pm in mindarie marina, all i can say is that nothing was caught that was worth keeping :/ just wondered what are some good spots around the marina for night fishing. I know hillarys has the lighthouse for herring and tailor at night but i havnt seen any herring been caught so far, could anyone please give me some advince for fishing the marina at night. thanks

by the way, some guys were tagreting squid aswell under the jettys next to the light. what would be the best tactic for them and what conditions are best in general for fishing in the marina :) like full moon, high tide. that sort of thing :)

cheers guys!

Herring at Hillary's? Ha!

Herring at Hillary's? Ha! Could've fooled me...only got one last night and this huge gurnard around the lighthouse. Oh well. Always next time.

If you go out the end of the western rock wall there are usually tailor and herring buzzing about. I've heard of nice sized black bream around the jetties too. There's definately some decent stuff to be had...heard of sambos inside the marina as well.

But that's the same wherever you go.

Returning those coral prawns to the ocean is a decent thing to do though.

Will always be over fished because of the ease access. If you put in a touch more effort you will get rewards, maybe walk 500m down the beach or drive a little further.
I heard a saying once, it went "with everything you do take one step out of your comfort zone and you will achieve a lot more in your life". Ha this is getting to deep you get my point lol
