Mandurah Prawn Trawler

There has been heaps of Mandurah prawns for sale and the fish shop says they get trawled out of the estuary not the sea.
How do they do that without destroying the weed beds and catching every crab insight?

Anchor up
I'm pretty sure they just anchor up in the channel near the mouth on an outgoing tide and lower the nets into the water.

That is what they do. They dont drag like northern trawlers.
I have not seen one near or at the cut, but certainly have seen them near the mouth of the "old" estuary exit.
