Mandurah help
Submitted by AlwaysFishin on Fri, 2013-02-08 07:11
I'm heading down to mandurah for the weekend and I've never been there before. I'm taking the crab nets, surf and flick rods. I have access to a tinny for crabbing/fishing the river/estuary, but looking to soak a bait on the beach at night as well. Just wondering if anyone could help me out where would be the best bet to drop the nets and what beaches are worth fishing. Any help would be great.

Mandurah beaches
Any of the beaches north...Singleton, Madora, San Remo or Silver Sands, or beaches south from Halls Head, Falcon, Avalon, down to Tims Thicket and Whitehills all can produce fish at various times.
I havent fished the Mandurah beaches in years so I cant comment on recent catches but if u call into Tuckeys Tackle, they should be able to give you the local gossip.
Hope this helps and enjoy your weekend.

Agree with Rusty
Go and ask Chris at Tuckey's Tackle. Always helpful.
As for Estuary the below comment about crabbing is correct, but with a tiny why not even launch at the Parkridge ramp, you are only about 500m away from the crab spots.
If you have a 4x4 Tims (gets packed) and White Hills for overnight. Use the small rods for bread and butter, and a few good YF whiting around atm, and a sety for bigger fish.

G'day, for crabs try south
G'day, for crabs try south of the Dawesville Cut. Launch at the Leprechauns boat ramp about 3kms south of the cut and head south towards Parkridge. there is a big 4poster marker there and anywhere near that area you should catch a feed. I generally go in about 1.8 meters there and catch a feed.
hope that helps mate.
