Two like peas out of a pod from 45 metres hard bottom / coral on Saturday .............they seem to be featuring in quite a number of catches which I find a little unusual.
Bagged out with a dhuie and a great black bum by 9.30am to go with these two

Yes - eaten fresh
with a side of tiger prawns and an Amelia Park fillet steak for a feast - one fillet easily fed four hungry adults and two kids - the rest were vacuum packed and frozen - where else but in Australia !

yep , we picked up two on sat too , and bagged out before 9 30 too.
love it
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Baldies
Great pair of baldies. Definately one of my favourites.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.

These on bait? I've found
These on bait? I've found they dont seem as keen on the artificials as other species.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Yes - skinned occy and flathead fillet
I have yet to catcvh a fish on soft plastics (other than redfin in freshwater) despite trying really hard and often
I actually met with the owner of Berkley Tackle when in Alaska recently and had a few drinks with him and explained how frustrated I was at my failure to break my dismal duck on saltwater species.
Out of the blue he sent me 20 packets of softies to try - still no success so I have reverted to reliable bait, skinned fresh occy and fillets of western king wrasse or sand flathead (which when I can catch a few appear to be a deadly bait)
