We launch a big dingy at preston, driving on the beach is not a problem. You need to pick your day. When we retrive we drop a guy off, he gets the 4wd without the trailer and attaches a rope. Watch the waves and then drive the boat into the beach quickly hook it up and tow it up on the sand. Then winch it up on the trailer.
If you go alittle further South Biningup has a launching ramp but still can be tricky if the waves pickup when you retrive. A few boats have been lost retrieving there over the years. If you launch there and you find its to rough to retrieve you can always run the boat down to Bunbury and pull it out the power boat club.
Just make sure you got someone in the boat when you launch with the motor running so they can quickly get out into deeper water and turn the bow into the waves.
I think you could be in fo trouble trying to launch a 6.0 mtr boat from Preston, unless they've put a ranp in of late its still an ocean beach without any shelter from wind or waves.
There is a ramp of sorts at Binningup, the reef there offers some protection.
Dont even think about launching a 6 metre boat off any of the mentioned locations your just asking for trouble. If you manage to get out and the weather turns bad getting boat back onto trailer will be a real problem and you could easily lose your boat,it's not worth it, use a sheltered concrete ramp be safe.

Thinking preston is the go.
Thinking preston is the go. Do they cop much swell there? might take some launching pads just to stay safe.
