Landbased Fishing Exmouth

 gday guys,

I'm heading up to exmouth for a week in the july holidays and i am hoping to wet a line.

can any one help me out with any landbased spots where i can either cast a line so go for a swim with a spear to get a feed?

Thank you

Hey Suggarman

Been a few years since I've been to exy but landbased spots are plentiful.

Lighthouse bay on a good day or night
Kailis jetty
Marina (Both inside and out
Most of the rock bays heading down the west coast
Mildura wreck

Anything from bread and butter species through to Spanglies, Bluebone and other top quality table feed as well as a good chance to catch most of the trevally species and queenfish along with plenty of sharks.. Something to keep most anglers occupied.

Spearing is also good but not up to date with the current sanctuary zones etc. Definitely look these up before you get there to avoid nasty surprises.

Message me if you need any more details..

Type 'Exmouth Landbased' in the search facility in the left column.  There's years of information there which will lead you in the right direction.  Cheers.

hey mate went up last year, if you're after bread and butter species we hit the town beach and drove north to find some flats with gutters and holes, heaps of bream, yellowfin whiting, gars and flathead, also got a few at bendegi and south of the marina. didnt have to drive far. we didnt have much luck on the more desirables but oysters reef caught some charlie courts a small spangly and a redthroat, probly recomend low tide and reef boots with good grip. had a slip up and bent the handle on one of my rods, pride took a hit too haha. caught something pretty much wherever we threw in a line, agree with bod hit the search function lots of good info there. good luck
