John Adams Talk

Attended this at All Boats tonight and it was brilliant for someone just getting used to looking at the ground as well as for fish whereas previously in the dinghy I used it as a depth tool and for finding bait balls to chase tailor in the river.

I feel way more confident now to go out and find some structure and (hopefully) some fish and just to generally sound around and try to determine what I am seeing.

Great stuff!

Yeah I was there too. It was very informative and useful. I found out that I've pretty much been interpretating my sounder the wrong way all this time haha. Can't wait to get out after the ban and play around with the sounder a bit now that I know what to look for, what settings to adjust and when to adjust them.

After the talk I went home and went through some sounder shots that I've taken photos of when I've caught good fish and they make much more sense now and I can see where my settings wernt quite right.

If your not too sure about what your sounder is showing you then I recommend trying to attend one of his talks if he does one again soon somewhere.

Haha yeah me too, been racking my brain trying to decipher what is on top of the bottom reading when looking for ground.

Only criticism would be that it could have been interactive but then again we'd have been there all night I reckon.

Yeah I know what you mean. I had a few questions during the talk but not really a chance to ask them. All good tho. I've got the book so hopefully they are covered in there.
