Pretty sure they are an awesome jigging reel. You should also check out the Jigging Master PE series of reels if you are after a lever drag.

one of my favourite reels. I use a nr 1500p however. I hear the bigger sizes aren't too comfortable. Ask SamC, he mentioned the size of his side plate was similar to a dinner plate.

Nope wasn't a fan of the 4000P at all, sure they're a powerful reel with heaps of torque, but it was just too big. Massive side plates as Daz said resulted in the reel wanting to roll on you all the time when using it.

Put Carbontex in a Z40 and that'll be fine.

Hi John I run Jb solid in  60lb on mine and have jigged in depths up to 350m, no probs except for stupud green eyes !!! At the moment the reel is on a a Black Hole 450g rod and is an absolute beast toCh use !!!!!!! I run about about 16kg drag over it which is about the max the reel can take before becoming jerkey ..

Cheers fishfish

They're JDM only, so you have to buy them from Japan or Asia at least.

Don't forget the Accurate Boss BX series, I've got a couple and they're working fine for me.

Please please please though SOM, tweak your L120 to 600m of PE5 and I'll buy one!
