and as I recall the jigging function wasn't considered to be that great.  Sorry I can't comment from experience.

With the mega twin reels, and

With the mega twin reels, and some others, if you're a bit soft you can use the jig function.

You set a pattern, a length, a speed, the wait time and the depth range (?) and then pretty much let it go. I hear you can wiggle the rod to make it feel like you're doing something.

Must be like those programmeable keyboards that play a whole band's worth of backing music while you tonk along on the keys.

Here is a link to the manual on Daiwa's website.

jigging function

Sat, 2011-10-29 11:01

the jigging function is something i,m still getting to know on the megatwin, but for keen jiggers here is basically what it does,

first you setup the jigging pattern, there is 1 step,2 step & 3 step patterns , or jiggin master which uses a combination of all three,

then you set up the waiting time, interval betwwen jigs, and then set the jigging range,

pretty cool function and if anyone wants more info i can upload the pdf user manual,

also i found these daiwa sacrifice jigs to use, i,m sure everyone has there own taste though,

www.alltackle.com/daiwa_sacrifice_jig.htm

hope this helps,

Good one

Thanks Harro, answers some of it.

I'm curious if it is an easy program with time. Would it be possible to set it up quickly while on the water and swap over from bait?

If it's going to be an epic feat,  I'd be battling to get enthusiastic.

The Expedition is always close to hand
