It's Pinkie time
Submitted by Dale on Wed, 2014-05-07 09:48
For you guys who fish from the beach or jetties etc and want to catch a good fish, this the time for a pinkie. Storm coming in with strong northwesters, this is where I caught most of my Pinkies from South Mole. Fish on the south side along side the lighthouse. Catch a herring and cut it into 3 pieces, that's your bait. Pinkies come in close looking for bits and pieces the storm has washed off or broken away from the groynes. A big chunk of fresh herring will get picked up pretty quick.
Good Luck and Tight Lines.
Dale

Be in it to win it.
Yeah jokes aside , the moles are great places to catch a metro pink, but just as a heads up
I have tried some some fairly non descipt rocks groynes and shoreline reefs in the last 5 years and they can turn up anywhere.
As others in other posts have said the timing needs to be spot on , as they bugger off quite quickly once the blow settles.
It isnt shapping up to that big a storm , so hopefully they dont shut the north mole.

Timely reminder
Great advice Dale!
I got mine the days after a big storm, so that's when i'll be trying. Good luck to those braving the rough weather and be careful on the rocks!
