Need help ID'ing this cod. Caught in exmouth in-shore reefs

Stargazer or blotched jawfish .
If your catching these then your fishing the wrong ground . They have amaizing looking eyes .

Definately a jawfish. Probably more likely black jawfish than a blotched but the spots do tend to vary a bit. Good sign you've moved off the good ground and onto the mud.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?
